I have returned, both to the land of Internet and from Berkeley! Well, somewhat, since I'm at Aurora's house.
First things first: Fuck stress, fuck Hope, fuck moving shit that isn't even mine - I SAW THE HORRORS FRONT AND CENTER!!! With Laurel! And I'll be damned if it wasn't the best damn concert EVER. I was so close to the action, Faris loomed over me. I could've reached out and touched him (but I'm not that creepy of a fangirl. And I don't want to fuck with his concentration LOL!).

( But wait, I shall do what I always do: Tell the story chronologically. )

This post of Neil's makes me a bit sad when contemplating that eventually Neil will die, and then what will I do? Though you can't hear it, there's self-deprecating sarcasm at the end there.

In other news, I'm going to Berkeley next Monday! Also, that's the last day of my Greek myths class, after which it will be 'goodbye IVC' and 'hello driving all the way to Anaheim'. (My orientation's on Saturday... I think I'm taking the night classes.)

I find that I don't have enough money to accomplish all my obligations (rent, food, car maintenance) and be able to have fun, since they cut my hours. $350-400 every two weeks used to cover it, but now I'm down to about $270 and it's ridiculous. I mean, setting aside "fun things", I still keep going through the savings i'm supposed to have for rent. I must ask Adam to give me more hours, since all I end up doing when I'm not at work is sitting on my ass bored anyway. Though to be fair, soon it will be June and I will likely complain of being overworked (on here). I guess I'm too picky.

After being with Laurel for almost a week, being back home and eating alone is very disconcerting. She thinks so too.

Berkeley and SF were amazing! Laurel's hospitality was fantastic and we did many fun things together (including FINISHING OUR CRACK XD) and she was very kind to not only put me up but put up with me. XD; We also managed to spend an insane amount of money and effort to get down to the Death of a Party concert in Santa Cruz. Freakin' taxis! D:< And even though their set was 7 songs / 20 mins long, and we two were the only ones even there for them in particular, IT WAS EPIC. Gareth careened into me. Twice. And talked to us a bit after. :3 (Apparently he also has a next band called Chambers, we think. Here's hoping it'll be as astounding.) I am also astonished at how much walking I did during this trip. And traveling. But mostly walking. If I would only do it more often...

Ugh, I swear I spent wayy too much money there. Bought stuff from Rasputin and Comic Relief, bought stuff from Chinatown, bought varying kinds of food and drink, bought varying kinds of transportation... It really never ends. >.> Happily, I deposited my check from work today, which was substantial, and can pay off some of my credit bills and still have a bit after. So though I have depleted my savings, I am not broke. W00t! As per the (late) season, we also exchanged gifts. I gave her the hardcover Miss Finch graphic novel and variuos pandabaka goodies, and she gave me Light and the Sufferer and a TARDIS. Well. A very flat, miniature one without a working door. But I love it. :D Needless to say, once she opened her presents, I was glomped. <3

And did I mention we FINISHED OUR CRACK?! Seriously!! It must be the end of the world. Me? Laurel? Finishing something? Oh, but its grand. The grandest TpWP ever created! (That's to scale!) Shirosaki/Hirako FTW. We're posting it soon, I think. Then I'll link to it. But be warned: The 'T' stands for TORTURE. Bloody, violent, painful torture. So don't say I didn't warn you.

Now, I wonder what we'll write next?

Edit: OMG ELEVEN HAS BEEN CHOSEN!!! AGHHH!! He's Matt Smith, he's 26, and he's pretty damn cute. Also, he'll make an awesomely ridiculous and un!taken-seriously Doctor. Which will make it so much more fun. Can't wait for Season 5--2010, so far away...!!!
